Vision – What Inspires You?

What is your vision?

Do you even have one?

Or are you so busy doing things every day that you haven’t even thought about a vision, let alone know how make one happen for yourself?

“Vision” is a beautiful word.

There is so much potential in this word. In the more spiritual sense of the word, you can have a ‘vision’ that is spiritually-based. One that appears to you as inspiration from the divine.

Or perhaps you have visions – as in spiritually inspired, perhaps even mystical experiences? I know that sometimes my dreams appear like ‘visions’. They are not a mirage. They contain real ideas and creative inspiration that helps me to create new projects, content, and more!

Many mystic writers and religious readers draw on their best creative work from visions. The course of history has been driven many times based on visions that people have. Constantine became the first Roman Emperor to lead his army as a Christian when he had a vision (Dream) of victory based on his using the Christian symbol of the Cross.

Joan of Arc’s visions led her to victory against the English, but ultimately saw her burned at the stake as a witch.

Visions are also ways for us to connect with our wants, needs, and desires. Sometimes they are specific to just us, and sometimes they involve a group of people, a company, or even an entire country. Look at the vision that Nelson Mandela had for South Africa. A person so unwavering and focused on the visions for his country, he survived more than 40 years in prison. What vision!

This is where vision and intention meet.

When you put intention behind your vision, you are planting the seeds of success.

So, what is your vision? Do you envision yourself succeeding? Do you take the time to enjoy and create that vision in your imagination?

Many of you, I’m sure, use a ‘vision board’ to create a visual reminder of what you want in your life. But, if you don’t feel like building one, then use your imagination to draw, write, or otherwise construct YOUR vision.

My vision this year was to do a fair amount of travel, to grow my business and reach, and to get more systems and processes in my business, including a specific level of income. My vision is still being realized. There are still more than 80 days left in the year and I’ve been able to travel to 4 countries so far, with a 5th next week (The Seychelles!).

My question to you is, how is ‘vision’ appearing in your life? Do you have a big vision for yourself? Maybe your vision is to simply retire early to a small cabin by the ocean and enjoy the fresh air. Or perhaps you have a vision to travel the world for the next 5 years, making a difference in people’s lives.

The fact is, VISION is what gets you there. It’s a starting point. Then it’s up to you to take action for that vision.

If you envision yourself making a difference, then I invite you to a conversation. To see where and how we can make your visions a reality.
